When necessary, the doctors are able to draw on opinions from specialists.

 

Specialist referrals are initiated by the doctor after consultation and discussion with the patient. These must be organised prior to specialists appointments and will require a doctors appointment. They legally cannot be back dated. Your health information will be disclosed to the specialist on the referral document.

Patients are responsible for making their own specialists appointments and attending any follow ups or further testing as required by the specialist.

Fees are payable for referrals.
